Article in the New York Times about the resurgence of hand-painted signs, New Bohemia Signs, and a pretty cool sounding exposition in San Francisco.

 Andres Guerrero, proprietor of Guerrero Gallery, used the word “authentic” in describing the exhibition’s appeal — noting as well that fans of sign painting run the gamut from graffiti enthusiasts to typography nerds.

“We could all use Photoshop all day and make letters,” Mr. Guerrero said. “Yet there’s this element of hand — your style, how you control things.”
